Tota Roy Chowdhury to play a police officer character in Raja Chanda's upcoming film

Tota Roy Chowdhury is on a roll these days as he has several interesting projects in his kitty. He was last seen opposite Mimi Chakraborty in Hoichoi's courtroom drama series Jaha Bolibo Shotto Bolibo. The versatile actor also reportedly joined the cast of Srijit Mukherji's upcoming film Tekka which stars Dev and Rukmini Maitra as lead pair. Now there are fresh speculations in the industry that Tota Roy Chowdhury will be seen playing a key role in Raja Chanda's upcoming film.

Going by the latest reports, Raja Chanda's upcoming action-drama film Shapath 2 stars Tota Roy Chowdhury in the lead role. Roy Chowdhury has been roped in by Raja Chanda to play the role of a police officer in the film. It's a sequel of 2015 film ''Shapath: The Promise'' which also starred Tota Roy Chowdhury in the lead role. ''The character of Randeep Roy (played by Tota) became very popular in that film. ''A new story is arranged with the name of the same character. Apart from this, there is no similarity with the previous film," said the director.

Actress Paean Sarkar, who has been a part of several movies and web series like Magic (2021), Pratidwandi (2021), and Katakuti (2022), will be seen playing the role of Tota Roy Chowdhury's wife in this film.

The makers of Shapath 2 have already started shooting for the film. Both the actor and the director emphasized on the making of the film. 

Well, there is also buzz in the industry that filmmaker Srijit Mukherji and Tota Roy Chowdhury are planning for the next Feluda series.
