Based on widow trafficking, Raajhorshee De's film Sada Ronger Prithibi releases this February; Watch the trailer

Directed by Raajhorshee De, the official trailer of the upcoming Bengali movie Sada Ronger Prithibi is out now! Based on widow trafficking, the film is slated to hit the cinema halls on 23rd February 2024. The film has 19 top actors from the Bengali entertainment industry including Srabanti Chatterjee, Sauraseni Maitra, Arindam Sil, Rwitobrata Mukherjee, Sneha Chatterjee, Mallika Banerjee, Devlina Kumar, Ananya Banerjee, Richa Sharma, Sohini Guha Roy, Deboshree Ganguly, Oindrilla Bose, Arunava Dery, Ishaan Mazumdar and Monalisha Banerjee in pivotal roles.

The Sada Ronger Prithibi trailer was unveiled yesterday at Inox, South City Mall in the presence of Dr. Shashi Panja, Hon’ble Minister in Charge Industries, Commerce & Enterprises and Department of Women and Child Development and Social Welfare; Sohini Sastri, Fortune Teller and Healer; Madhuja Banerjee, Senior Vice President of Fiction Colors Hindi & Viacom 18 Media Pvt Ltd; Amit Agarwal, Eminent Film Producer; Raajhorshee De, and the stellar star cast of the film.

Speaking about the story of the film, it explores the colorless world of widows in Varanasi whose lives are bleached like their white sarees. But the pristine exterior hides the devious machinations of criminal masterminds who are out to exploit these unfortunate women. Things get complicated when a young police officer comes to investigate the shelter ignoring the dangers that await her as she disguises herself as one of the inmates of the shelter. Will she be able to overcome the political pressure and other threats and unmask the culprit is the crux of the story.
