Kabuliwala actor Mithun Chakraborty, who was shooting for his upcoming film Shastri, has been admitted to a hospital in Kolkata due to chest pain. According to reports, the actor felt unwell on the sets of his upcoming film Shastri around 10 am on Saturday.

It is also known that Mithun Chakraborty has multiple physical complications. It is reported that the veteran actor will undergo an MRI. Currently, he is admitted to a private hospital near Bypass under neuro medicine specialist Sanjay Bhowmik. This Saturday, he arrived at the hospital in his car along with Shastri's co-star and producer Soham Chakraborty. He is currently undergoing various tests.

Mithun Chakraborty was shooting for his upcoming film Shastri in Kolkata. This film is being made based on astrology. Pathikrit Basu, who previously directed Dev and Prosenjit Chatterjee-Starrer Kacher Manush is directing Mithun Chakraborty in Shastri too. Mithun Chakraborty and Debashree Roy will be seen together on screen after 16 years through this film.

Apart from Mithun Chakraborty and Debashree Roy, Shastri has an ensemble cast including Saswata Chatterjee, Sauraseni Maitra, Anirban Chakrabarty, Kanchan Mullick, Kaushik Sen and Ambarish Bhattacharya in pivotal roles.

Produced by Soham's Entertainment and Surinder Films, the film is expected to release on the occasion of Durga Puja 2024.
