Actress Shinjinee Chakraborty, who has been a part of several television dramas including Ponchomi and Uma, has bagged a new role in the brand-new show Ashtami. Reportedly, the model-turned-actress will be seen in the show opposite the lead pair Saptarshi Maulik and Ritobrota Dey. Shinjinee has officially joined the cast of Ashtami and has started shooting for the show.
Shinjinee Chakraborty has been roped in by the makers of ''Ashtami'' to play a pivotal role in the show on Zee Bangla. However, it is not known whether Shinjinee's character in the show will be positive or negative. Well, if sources are to be believed, the show will see Shinjini in one more important role after Ritobrota Dey and Saptarshi Maulik.
Apart from Saptarshi Maulik, Ritobrota Dey, and Shinjinee Chakraborty, the show will also have Kaushik Chakraborty in a pivotal role. The channel recently released the first promo of the show, Ashtami with Ritobrota Dey, Saptarshi Maulik and Kaushik Chakraborty.

Talking about Shinjinee Chakraborty, she was last seen playing Nayantara in the show, 'Sandhyatara', starring Annwesha Hazra, Saurojit Banerjee, and Amrita Debnath in the lead roles. The model-turned-actress made her television debut with Zee Bangla's show Uma where she played the female lead opposite Neel Bhattacharya. Later, she bagged a pivotal role opposite Rajdeep Gupta and Susmita Dey in Star Jalsha's show Ponchomi. And now she will be seen in Zee Bangla's brand-new show Ashtami.
