It has been reported that Abir Chatterjee and Mimi Chakraborty have teamed up together for their next film Alaap. Abir and Mimi will once again be seen together on screen after the incredible success of Raktabeej. Premendu Bikash Chaki is bringing Abir Chatterjee and Mimi Chakraborty back to the screen through his romantic drama film Alaap. However, the film is now all set to hit the cinema halls this April 2024. Yes, you read that right. The makers have officially announced the release date for Abir Chatterjee and Mimi Chakraborty's upcoming movie Alaap.

Produced by Surinder Film, and Directed by Premendu Bikash Chaki, Abir Chatterjee and Mimi Chakraborty's romantic drama movie Alaap is set to hit the cinema halls on 26th April 2024. The makers have officially announced the release date of the film on social media by releasing a motion poster.

Apart from Abir Chatterjee and Mimi Chakraborty, the film also stars Swastika Dutta, Debopriyo Mukherjee, Kinjal Nanda, and Tonni Laha Roy in pivotal roles.

Talking about the film, it revolves around Pablo Majumdar (Abir), Aditi Mitra (Mimi), and Swatilekha Sen (Swastika) who work in different IT companies. At one point their paths cross in the professional field which triggers a chain of events. The film deals with the complexities of commitment issues in a relationship in the form of a romantic comedy.

In the director's words, The USP of the story is that the hero and the heroine don’t meet until toward the end of the film.
