A terrible fire broke out at DRR Studios in Rajarhat. Two makeup vans were gutted in the devastating fire. Reality shows like Dadagiri, Didi No 1 and Sa Re Ga Ma Pa are shot here. Eyewitnesses said that the make-up vans were instantly engulfed in the flames of fire. It is known that the incident took place around 11:30 am today.
According to reports, a makeup van inside the studio caught fire first. And it spread to another makeup van next door. Initial speculation is that the accident occurred from the AC of the makeup van.
Meanwhile, the brand-new season of Sa Re Ga Ma Pa was supposed to start shooting in this studio this Monday. When Abhijit Sen, the director of the show was asked about he said, ''I have just returned from Delhi, so I can't say anything right now.''
The studio staff tried to put out the fire by taking water from a nearby reservoir. Unfortunately, the fire brigade was too late to reach the spot. Two make-up vans were destroyed before fire engines could reach there. Locals expressed their anger as the fire service came late. However, the police of Rajarhat police station reached the spot and started an investigation to find out the cause of the incident.
