Both Jeet and Prosenjit Chatterjee are much-loved stars among Bengali audiences and have huge fan following in Bengal. While Jeet increased his popularity at the national level with his big screen release Chengiz, Prosenjit Chatterjee rose to prominence in the Hindi belt with his amazing screen presence in Vikramaditya Motwane's Jubilee.

 And now new rumors are doing the rounds on the internet claiming Jeet and Prosenjit Chatterjee teaming up for Khakee - The Bengal chapter, a Netflix Original series.

Going by the latest reports, two Tollywood superstars Jeet and Prosenjit Chatterjee will play the lead roles in Neeraj Pandey's upcoming series.

According to reports, both Prosenjit and Jeet have been approached by the makers of "Khakee - The Bengal chapter" to play lead roles in the series. However, there is no official statement from either the makers or the actors yet.

However, if the news turns into reality, the series will surely be a treat for the viewers in Bengal.

Well, prior to this, Prosenjit Chatterjee shared the screen with Jeet in the action thriller movie Bagh Bandhi Khela which was directed by Sujit Mondal, Haranath Chakraborty and Raja Chanda. Later, Prosenjit Chatterjee joined hands with Jeet for his drama film Aay Khuku Aay, directed by Sauvik Kundu.

And now there is a strong rumor that Jeet and Prosenjit Chatterjee will share the screen in Netflix's upcoming series Khakee - The Bengal chapter, written by Neeraj Pandey. It is heard that the work of the series will start as soon as the Lok Sabha elections are over. After the Bihar chapter, it is Bengal's turn. Various incidents of Kolkata Police will be highlighted in the series.

It is also known that Parambrata Chatterjee and Saswata Chatterjee will also be seen in important roles in this series. Actress Gargi Roychowdhury, known for Haami, Mahananda, Shesh Pata, and Jyeshthoputro, has also been approached by the makers of the series to play a key role alongside Jeet and Prosenjit. The series will also mark Jeet's OTT debut.

Meanwhile, Jeet is busy these days with his upcoming big screen release Boomerang. The Sci-fi comedy-drama stars Rukmini Maitra as the female lead opposite Jeet. Directed by Sauvik Kundu, the film is scheduled to hit the cinema halls on 7th June, summer 2024.
