The hacking of Rukmini Maitra's Facebook handle turned out to be a publicity stunt

Last Saturday morning it was reported that Tollywood actress Rukmini Maitra's official Facebook page was hacked. The actress took to Instagram to inform her fans about the cyber trouble. While initial reports led many to believe that Rukmini's Facebook page had been hacked, it was later revealed to be a publicity stunt for her upcoming sci-fi movie Boomerang.

The next Sunday morning, it was revealed that it was a publicity stunt for the sci-fi movie Boomerang, starring Rukmini Maitra as the female lead opposite Jeet. Rukmini officially shared the official teaser of Boomerang on her Facebook handle, with the caption ''Sorry Rukmini, I am Nisha! I am giving it back because Samar Sen asked me to hack, and Samar Sen asked me to give it back. Click on the link below to know me and Samar Sen.''

About Boomerang movie

Boomerangm starring Jeet and Rukmini Maitra in lead roles, is set to hit the cinema halls on 7th June, summer 2024. Directed by Sauvik Kundu, the film also stars Saurav Das, Kharaj Mukherjee, Ambarish Bhattacharya, and Debchandrima Singha Roy in pivotal roles. Interestingly, the film also marks Jeet and Rukmini Maitra's first film together.
