Director Rohan Sen, who helmed films like Subho Bijoya, Aparajitaa, and Pakdondi is now gearing up for his next movie with Tollywood's renowned actress Ishaa Saha and Priyanka Sarkar. According to the latest reports, Ishaa Saha and Priyanka Sarkar have been roped in by Rohan Sen to play the key roles in his upcoming movie Nayika. Well, it is the working title of the film, and the makers can change the title later.

Directed by Rohan Sen, the women-centric drama film stars Ishaa Saha and Priyanka Sarkar in lead roles. While Priyanka Sarkar will be seen in the role of a housewife, Ishaa Saha will be seen playing the role of a film star.

Talking about the film, it revolves around two best friends Raya and Sohini, played by Isha Saha and Priyanka Sarkar who dream of becoming movie stars. But fate takes their lives on different paths and Raya becomes a successful film star, while Sohini compromises with fate and starts living as a housewife. The story takes a turn when fate brings them together again.

Talking about the film, the director said ''I wanted to celebrate friendship through this film. At the same time, the film will reveal different aspects of the relationship. Raya gets into trouble at a poster release event when various things are being written about her in the media. In this drastic situation childhood friend Sohini contacts Raya again. Will they two help each other to get out of their troubles while one is successful, and the other one is compromised? The film will answer this question''.

The story and screenplay of the film are the director's own. Soon Isha and Priyanka will join the director for their look-set for the film. The film also stars Laboni Sarkar, and Subhrajit Dutta in important roles. The shooting of the film will start from May 17 in Kolkata.
