On 1st April 2024, it was reported that Tollywood's most loved actress Koel Mallick sustained a serious injury during the shooting of the movie Ekti Khunir Sondhane Mitin. The incident took place in Nepalganj when Mitin Masi aka Koel Mallick was shooting an action sequence directed by action choreographer Sunil Rodrigues.
Reportedly, Mallick was injured twice on her right hand after being kicked by her co-star during the shoot. After the first hit, she fell down, but she didn't stop herself as we know how passionate she is about her profession. However, after getting injured in the same place for the second time, she was moaning in pain. The hand was also swollen. She was then taken straight to the hospital from the sets of the film.
However, Koel Mallick is reportedly fine now as she has joined the sets of Ekti Khunir Sondhane Mitin to complete the rest of the film's shoot. The official Instagram handle of Calcutta Times shared this news and captioned it ''Just in: Koel Mallick is back in action. She has recovered from the fracture she sustained during a shoot and is back to shooting again''

Speaking about the film, 'Ekti Khunir Sondhane Mitin' is a detective thriller, based on Suchitra Bhattacharya's story 'Megher Pore Megh'. Arindam Sil is directing the film under Surinder Film's banner.
Apart from Koel Mallick, the film also stars Subhrajit Dutta, Lekha Chatterjee, Saheb Chatterjee, Koneenica Banerjee, Gaurav Chakrabarty, Madhurima Basak, Roshni Bhattacharyya, Anusuya Majumdar, Debraj Roy, and Dulal Lahiri.
