ED has summoned Tollywood's beloved actress Rituparna Sengupta in the ration corruption case. In 2019, the actress was summoned by the ED (Enforcement Directorate) in the Rose Valley financial scandal, a major financial scam and alleged political scandal in India caused by the collapse of a Ponzi scheme run by Rose Valley Group.
Now almost five years later, the Enforcement Directorate has summoned the actress in the ration corruption case. According to ED sources, Rituparna Sengupta has been summoned to the ED office on June 5.
When Sengupta was asked about this, she told Anandabazar Patrika, ''I don't know anything about it. What is ration corruption? I have no idea about that. I suddenly got this news. No letter came to my house in Kolkata either.''
Rituparna Sengupta also said that she believes it's a conspiracy against her. She met Jyotipriya Mallick twice only at events in the city.
Rituparna Sengupta also expressed her concern as her film Ajogyo, co-starring Prosenjit Chatterjee is releasing this 7th June. Ahead of the release of her film, this news may affect the film.
When Rituparna Sengupta was asked whether she would be available in the ED office on June 5? she said, "I will decide after consulting a lawyer."
