Arjun Chakraborty playing the iconic character Apurba Kumar Roy aka Apu in his upcoming film Avijatrik. Arjun Chakraborty looking totally different in this film like never seen before. The greatest filmmaker Satyajit Ray was born on 2nd May in 1921. This the century of Ray. To make this year more memorable, director Subhrajit Mitra bringing Apu once again. Subhrajit Mita's upcoming film Avijatrik is the sequel of Ray's Apur Sansar. Avijatrik based on Bibhutibhusahn Bandhyapady's novel Aparajito. Once again the iconic character will be portrayed through Arjun Chakraborty.

Actress Ditipriya Roy making pair with Arjin Chakraborty in this film. Ditipriya Roy playing the lead role as Aparna opposite Arjun Chakraborty. This is the first time Arjun Chakraborty and Sabyasachi Chakraborty sharing the screen together through Avijatrik. Sabyasachi Chakraborty playing Shankar. Actress Sreelekha Mitra will be seen as Ranudi. The film also features Arpita Chatterjee, Biswanath Basu, Sohag Sen, Tanushree Shankar, and child actor Ayushman Mukhopadhyay.

The story revolves around Apu and his only son Kajol. Apu revisits his village and relives his childhood through the eyes of Kajol. Kajol lost his mother during his birth. The story shows the relationship between Apu and his son Kajol.

The film is produced by Gaurang Jalan and Madhur Bhandarkar. The music department managed by Bickram Ghosh.
