Bengali actress Indrani Halder, who stole the hearts of Bengali audiences with her acting skills, has been honored with a commemorative postage stamp. Seven Bengali personalities have been honored by releasing stamps featuring them in a cultural event called ‘Saptaparni’ and Sreemoyee aka Indrani Halder was one of them. Apart from Indrani Halder, Rudraprasad Sengupta, magician P.C Sorcar, ‪Sambaran Bandyopadhyay, Sovandeb Chattopadhyay, Pandit Tanmoy Bose, Satyam Roy Chowdhury were also honored with postage stamps on their names. A postage stamp of five rupees has been issued in the name of Indrani Halder.

Be it a small screen or a silver screen, Indrani Haldar has succeeded in whatever role she has played. Goyenda Ginni serial is still a much-awaited detective series among Bengali serial lovers. Fans always ask her for a  new season of Goyenda Ginni. Her recent drama series Sreemoyee was a smash hit among the Bengali audience. Even the serial has been remade in multiple languages. Anupamaa, the Hindi remade of Sreemoyee has become one of the most popular telly dramas on national television and enjoying a huge viewership. The serial has also been remade in Kannada, Marathi, Malayalam, Telugu, and Tamil languages.
