Bengali Television is bringing a number of new shows, and at the same time many entertainment channels are shutting down their ongoing shows. Another popular entertainment channel Star Jalsha also bringing several new shows. And now there are rumors that the ongoing drama series Gangaram will end soon.

As per the recent buzz, Abhishek Bose and Sohini Guha Roy Starrer serial Gangaram will end its journey soon. The drama series premiered on 28th December 2020. After a year and a half of broadcasting, the producers and the channel decided to end the show. The powerpack performance and the on-screen chemistry of Abhishek Bose and Sohini Guha Roy have impressed the audience as well as the makers. And the show has also given the channel a very good TRP.

The story involves Gangaram Roy, a charming simpleton guy from a village whose life revolves around music. He is the son of Band Master Nepal Roy, who runs a famous musical band named "Surjhankar." Gangaram possesses extraordinary musical skills. Gangaram's life takes a turn when he steps into the city of Kolkata to perform in the marriage ceremony of a rich girl named Tayra Chatterjee and later due to some unfortunate circumstances, he tied the knot with Tayra. How Gangaram established himself with his singing skills and how a city girl fall in love with a village boy is crux of the story.

Apart from Abhishek Bose and Sohini Guha Roy, Gangaram serial also featured Surabhi Mallick, Samrat Mukerji, Priyanka Rati Pal, Mousumi Saha, Srabanti Malakar, Supriyo Dutta, and Sujan Mukhopadhyay among others.
