Rajnandini Starrer hoichoi series Sampurna highlights a major issue like 'marital rape'

The trailer for Hoichoi web series Sampurna is out. The series, directed by Sayantan Ghosal, stars Sohini Sarkar, Rajnandini Paul, Anubhav Kanjilal, Prantik Banerjee, Laboni Sarkar, Rajat Ganguly and Parometa Mukherjee.

Is 'marital rape' a crime at all? The answer to this question has not yet been found in any court in the country. But is it right to force intercourse with the wife? And if the wife does not agree to intercourse, is it right to torture her physically? And because of which the wife always trembles in fear, no one will ever see the tyrannical love of the husband? Every night the girl is drenched in tears as she fulfills her husband's lust.

Hoichoi's next web series Sampurna, directed by Sayantan Ghosal highlights this major issue in our society. While Sohini Sarkar will play the titular role, Rajnandini Paul will play the centric character. Anubhav Kanjilal will be seen as Rajnandini's reel husband. The trailer starts with Nandini's wedding. Nandini got married happily. But from the first night, her husband sexually assaulted her. She tries to inform her family members about it, but everyone ignores it except 'Sampurna', the spouse of her husband's sibling. 'Sampurna' speak out about the issue, and she decides that she will fight to get justice for Nandini (Rajnandini).

Hoichoi series 'Sampurna' starts streaming from 29th July on Hoichoi official app and website.
