TV show Uma to end its journey soon

Once again, a popular television drama series is about to end its journey ahead of expectations. Although we have seen many serials end their journey on TV much earlier than expected. And this time, Shinjinee Chakraborty and Neel Bhattacharya starrer serial Uma is going off-air. Recently, the channel has announced the telecast time of their new show Jagaddhatri which will replace Shinjinee Chakraborty and Neel Bhattacharya starrer show.

The last episode of Uma serial, starring Neel Bhattacharya and Shinjinee Chakraborty, will be telecast on August 28, 2022. Where Neel Bhattacharya is already popular, Shinjinee Chakraborty made her television debut with this serial and played the titular role opposite Neel Bhattacharya. The show features popular television stars like Bhaskar Banerjee, Soma Banerjee, Bharat Kaul, Sudipta Banerjee, and Amitabh Bhattacharjee among others.

The story of the show revolves around Uma who dreams of becoming a cricketer but is forced to give up on her dream due to familial obligations. However, her passion for the game and her husband Abhimanyu's constant motivation pushes her to realize her ambition and start playing cricket again.

Uma serial premiered on 13th September 2021 and in just nine months the show is coming to an end. Speaking about the TRP of the show, it is still good enough, but the channel authorities decided the shut down the show as it could not make a mark as the slot leader.
