Uma fame Shinjinee Chakraborty bags a new role in Ponchomi serial

Actress Shinjinee Chakraborty, who made her television debut by playing the titular role in Uma, has bagged yet a new role in Star Jalsha's show Ponchomi. The model-turned-actress will be seen playing a pivotal role alongside Rajdeep Gupta and Susmita Dey in Ponchomi. Shinjinee was last seen playing a meaty role in Uma, and this time she will be seen in a completely different character.

Shinjinee Chakraborty, who became a household name for playing meaty role in Uma, will now be seen playing a negative role in Ponchomi serial. Recently, the makers of Ponchomi have welcomed a new character named Chitra in the story where Shinjinee will be seen playing the role opposite Rajdeep Gupta. 

Taking to social media, the Shinjinee has shared the news about her new role with fans. Chakraborty has also shared a glimpse of her entry into the show which sees Kinjal (Rajdeep)'s mom wants him to get married to Chitra, so that she can save his life from Kalnagini. But Ponchomi realizes that Chitra has not come to save Kinjal's life but to kill him. How will Ponchomi reveal Chitra's real truth in front of everyone in the house and save Kinjal's life now? The answer to this question will be found in the upcoming episodes of the serial.

Although it performed well in the beginning, Ponchomi has slipped down the TRP chart in the last few weeks. Now the makers have added some new twists to the story by welcoming a new character. Now it's time to see how the show performs in the next few days.
