Actor Rahul Banerjee who is playing Vikram in Laalkuthi turned a year older today (October 16). The versatile actor celebrates his birthday with loved ones along with his co-star Rooqma Ray. The madness of celebration has already started from midnight. The birthday boy started his special day by cutting a cake with close friends and special ones. Apart from Rooqma Ray, friends from the industry like Saurav Chakraborty, Anamika Chakraborty and Priyam Chakraborty also reached the birthday boy to celebrate at midnight. Celebes friends like Rupanjana Mitra, Sairity Banerjee, and Dibyojyoti Dutta have sent out birthday wishes to the birthday boy.

Well, there is also a rumor in the industry that Rahul Banerjee and his co-star Rooqma Ray are in a relationship. The on-screen Jodi of Rahul Banerjee and Rooqma Ray became popular from their previous show Desher Maati where Banerjee played Raja and Rooqma played Mampi opposite him. Since then, Raja-Mampi Jodi became one of the most popular on-screen pairs among Bengali audiences.

On the career front, Rahul Banerjee is currently playing Vikram Dastidar in daily soap Laalkuthi where his co-star is Rooqma Ray. He made his television debut with Khela serial where his co-stars were Parno Mitra, Badshah Maitra, and Saheb Chatterjee among others. Apart from the above-mentioned serials, he was a part of many popular TV series like Tumi Asbe Bole, and Aye Khuku Aye. He became popular in the Film Industry for playing Krishna in Raj Chakraborty's film Chirodini Tumi Je Amar. He acted in many Bengali films like Jaatishwar, Chotushkon, Byomkesh Phire Elo, Biday Byomkesh, Byomkesh Gotro, and many more.
