Abir Chatterjee and Madhumita Sarcar teamed up for Anik Dutta's film 'Jato Kando Kolkatay'

Here is a piece of good news for the fans of Abir Chatterjee and Madhumita Sarcar. After Byomkesh, Feluda, and Sona Da, Abir Chatterjee will be seen playing a sleuth in Anik Dutta's film 'Jato Kando Kolkatay' featuing Madhumita Sarcar in a key role. Bubbly actress Madhumita, who mostly plays meaty roles on screen, will be seen playing a 1950's girl in the film.

Anik Dutta's film 'Jato Kando Kolkatay' features Abir Chatterjee and Madhumita Sarcar in lead roles. Apart from them, the film also stars Paran Bandopadhyay in a key role. The film also features director Bimal Roy's granddaughter Mishka Sinha and Debjani Chattopadhyay's son Srish Chattopadhyay in other important roles. In the film, Abir Chatterjee will play the role of Topshe aka Toposmito Sengupta. It's an Anik Dutta creation, said the director.

Speaking about the film, director Anik Dutta said, 'The film doesn't have an investigator, but it does have an investigation.' The film will have various sources related to Feluda. I thought if I make a movie about Feluda I will do it in an interesting way. Earlier Abir was seen as Feluda but in this film, he will be seen as Topshe. But this character is completely different from Topse character written by Satyajit Ray.  It's an Anik Dutta creation. Another interesting fact is that Topshe aka Toposmito Sengupta calls his uncle Feluda who gave him this name. A story that will run parallel to the main story will show the atmosphere of 1950 and feature Madhumita Sarcar in a key role.'

The film will be shot in Kolkata and Darjeeling under 'Friends Communication' and 'Big Screen Productions House' banner.
