Actress Rooqma Ray bags a new TV show

Bengali actress Rooqma Ray, who is known for her amazing performance on the small screen has bagged yet a new project. If sources are to be believed, the 'Lalkuthi' actress will soon be seen in a new drama series, produced by a leading production house that also runs one of the popular drama series Anurager Chhowa.

There is also a buzz in the industry that the upcoming show will feature senior artist Anjana Basu in a pivotal role. Yes, the renowned actress Anjana Basu, who had to take a break from the limelight for her health condition will make a comeback with Rooqma Ray in the upcoming show which is likely to be aired on Sun Bangla. Its titled 'Rupsagore Moner Manush' which will feature a new face opposite Rooqma Ray. Well, this is a working title for the upcoming show, and it might change in future by the makers. As per the report, the makers have already started the shooting for the show and Rooqma Ray has also done a few shots for the promo of the show. If all goes according to plan, viewers will get to see the first promo of the show in the third week of this month.

Ever since Rooqma Ray stepped into the industry, she has won the hearts of fans and makers with her powerpack performances. Be it a negative or positive character, she has always been appreciated for her acting skills. Rooqma Ray was last seen in ZEE5 web series 'Raktakorobi', co-starring Raima Sen, Vikram Chatterjee, Shantilal Mukherjee, Abhijit Guha, and Laboni Sarkar among others. Rooqma Ray was last seen on TV with Rahul Bannerjee in the horror drama series 'Lalkuthi'. Rooqma Ray and Rahul Banerjee's chemistry in 'Desher Maati' has gained huge popularity among the Bengali audience. And following the trend, Zee Bangla brought the popular duo back on screen with the show Lalkuthi, but it failed to make an impression on the TRP charts. The show concluded its journey on TV in November, last year.
