Sandipta Sen to star in Hoichoi's next social drama Noshtoneer

Actress Sandipta Sen, who was recently seen in 'The Eken-Ruddhaswas Rajasthan', has bagged yet a new series directed by Aditi Roy. After Bodhon, Sandipta Sen joined Aditi Roy again for hoichoi's next web series Noshtoneer. Apart from Sandipta Sen, the series also stars Shoumo Banerjee, Angana Roy, Anindya Chatterjee, and Rooqma Ray in other pivotal roles.

Hoichoi's upcoming series Noshtoneer features Sandipta Sen as Aparna while actor Shoumo Banerjee will play her husband Rishab. On the other side, Angana Roy will be seen playing the role of Godhuli, Anindya Chatterjee as Soumya and Rooqma Ray will essay the role of Namrata. 

Initially, the title of the series was Khelaghor later it was changed to Noshtoneer where Shoumo and Sandipta will play husband-wife and Godhuli (Angana) will create some complications between them. The series tells the story of a married woman devoted to the well-being of her family whose life shatters when her husband is hit with a 'MeToo' allegation.

Talking about the series, director Aditi Roy told ETimes, ''I am absolutely thrilled to be once again narrating a story that has been so contemporary and deeply rooted in our society. The world has witnessed the macro impacts that the #MeToo movement had. For me, it was quite an interesting journey to build a portrayal of the same through narrating a story from an intricate and micro level of the impact. I am really grateful to be able to bring out the dilemmas through both sides of the movement with the journey of Aparna in Noshtoneer''.
