TV show Meyebela ends its journey; the team wrapped up the shoot for the show

In the past few months, we have seen several newly launched shows end their journey on TV earlier than expected. Daily soaps like 'Balijhor', 'Indrani' and 'Alta Phoring' ended their journey on TV ahead of expectations. And this time, Swikriti Majumder and Arpan Ghoshal starrer show 'Meyebela' has been to the list. 

As per the latest report, Star Jalsha's popular show 'Meyebela', starring Swikriti Majumder and Arpan Ghoshal in lead roles, is about to end its journey. Director Suman Das has confirmed the news after wrapping up the shoot for 'Meyebela'.

Last Wednesday (14th June) was the last day of shooting for 'Meyebela' and the last episode of the show will be telecast on 23rd June. The popular show premiered in January this year and will conclude its journey in just five months.

Roopa Ganguly, who made her comeback with the show, quit the show last month saying it was 'regressive'. Later, Anushree Das, a well-known actress in the industry replaced Roopa Ganguly in the show. Well, the replacement in casting didn't affect the show in terms of TRP ratings.

Recently, the channel changed the telecast time for 'Meyebela', but the makers of the drama did not want to continue in its new slot. Hence, the channel and the makers mutually decided to quit the show.
