Actress Somashri Bhattacharyya, who has been a part of several television dramas including 'Ki Kore Bolbo Tomay', 'Karunamoyee Rani Rashmoni' and 'Gaatchora', has bagged a new web series, directed by Ayan Chakraborti. The actress will be seen playing a key role in Hoichoi's new web series 'Nikhoj' which starts streaming from 11th August.
Director Ayan Chakraborti is coming up with a suspense thriller series titled Nikhoj, starring Swastika Mukherjee and Tota Roy Chowdhury in lead roles, in which Somashri Bhattacharyya will be seen playing a key role alongside them. In this web drama, Somashri Bhattacharyya will be seen playing Swastika Mukherjee's reel daughter Diti, who goes missing mysteriously following a party she attended with her friends. While Swastika Mukherjee will play the role of a police officer, Tota Roy Chowdhury will be seen in the role of a renowned journalist.

Apart from Swastika Mukherjee, Tota Roy Chowdhury, and Somashri Bhattacharyya, the series also stars Pratik Dutta, Priyanka Mondal, Lokenath De, Saoli Chattopadhyay, Paran Bandyopadhyay, and Khas Koushik in pivotal roles.

Speaking about Somashri Bhattacharyya, she is one of the household names to Bengali audiences. Somashri was recently seen in the television drama 'Mon Dite Chai', starring Arunima Halder and Writwik Mukherjee in lead roles. In that show, she was playing the role of Koel, later Pamela Kanjilal replaced Somashri in the show as she left it. Apart from the shows mentioned above, Somashri Bhattacharyya also acted in 'Nojor', 'Ikir Mikir', and 'Shubho Drishti'. 'Shubho Drishti' serial marks Somashri Bhattacharyya's television debut.
