, who made his directional debut with Dostojee and grabbed the Filmfare Award as Best Director at 'Filmfare Awards Bangla 2022' is planning to for his second film with Chanchal Chowdhury, who will soon be seen in Srijit Mukherji's film Padatik. Yes, you read that right. As per the recent buzz, the Bangladesh-based actor Chanchal Chowdhury may be seen in Prasun Chatterjee's next film.

The buzz was created by a recent post by Prasun Chatterjee in which he shared a pic with Chanchal Chowdhury and captioned 'Eabar Tahole Ek Natun Pod Ranna Kora Jak!' As soon as the post was shared, it went viral among fans. From fans to celebrities, many have shown their interest in this actor-director duo. Actress Sudipta Chakraborty wrote ''Ranna Bhalo Korte Gele Experienced Randhunio Toh Laagey Naki?? Resume Ta Pathiye Rakhbo ??'' Prasun Chatterjee also replied to Sudipta Chakraborty's comment and wrote ''Ki Je Bolo! Agey Bazaar Kora Hok...''.

Prasun Chatterjee's film Dostojee had its world premiere at the 65th BFI London Film Festival and was also screened at numerous festivals across the globe. The film was released in India on November 11, last year. The film is set after the Babri Masjid demolition in India and follows the story of two eight-year-old boys who have to navigate the growing religious divide. 

Prasun Chatterjee, who made his directional debut with Dostojee, was appreciated all over the world for the film. Even, Bollywood megastar, Amitabh Bachchan also tweeted about this film. Dostojee featured Arif Shaikh and Asik Shaikh in lead roles. The film won the top prize, the Golden Shika Award, at the Nara International Film Festival in 2022.
