Actress Ushasie Chakraborty, who became a household name by playing the role of 'June' in popular drama series Sreemoyee has bagged a new film, directed by Saurav Palodhi. The young director, known for Kholam Kuchi (2022), Colkatay Columbus (2016), and Bibaho Diaries (2017) is coming up with a new film where Ushasie Chakraborty will be seen playing a key role among others.
Prior to this, Saurav Palodhi directed 'Colkatay Columbus', starring Mir Afsar Ali, Gaurav Chakrabarty, Ritabhari Chakraborty, Anirban Bhattacharya, and Tanusree Chakraborty in pivotal roles. Recently, he directed a web series titled Kholam Kuchi, starring Anindya Sengupta, and Sreya Bhattacharya in lead roles.
And now, the young director is going to make a film titled 'Anko Ki Kathin', featuring Ushasie Chakraborty in a pivotal role. Apart from Ushasie Chakraborty, the film also stars Parno Mittra, and Shankar Debnath in key roles.
Speaking about the film, it revolves around three kids. One of them dreams of becoming a doctor, the other dreams of becoming an engineer, and another one dreams of becoming an ideal nurse one day even though they study in a government non-paying school.
Director Saurav Palodhi said that the film's script is ready. Currently, the workshop is going on with the three kids. He is currently busy preparing them for their characters in the film.
Saurav Palodhi will start shooting for the film from September under Rana Sarkar's production.
Ushasie Chakraborty was last seen on TV in the popular daily soap Sreemoyee, co-starring Indrani Haldar, Tota Roy Chowdhury, Sudip Mukherjee, and Saptarshi Maulik in lead roles. In the show, Ushasie Chakraborty was seen playing the main antagonist June Sengupta which made her a star among the Bengali audience. Besides Television series, she has also been a part of several films including Byomkesh films. Ushasie played the role of Satyabati in every film made by Anjan Dutt based Byomkesh Bakshi.
