After the phenomenal success of their action thriller Raktabeej, the renowned director and producer duo Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee are gearing up for their next priority Aamar Boss which marks veteran actress Rakhee Gulzar's comeback to the Bengali entertainment industry after almost two decades. It has also been reported that the directors are all set to start shooting their upcoming film Aamar Boss soon. And now, the day has come. Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee have started rolling the camera today (5th January) for their next film Aamar Boss, starring Rakhee Gulzar and Srabanti Chatterjee in lead roles. It is also known that the film will hit the cinema halls this summer 2024.

The veteran actress's last Bengali film was Nirban by Gautam Halder, which did not have a theatrical release but was showcased at several film festivals. Her last outing in Bengali cinema was Rituparno Ghosh’s 'Shubho Mahurat' (2003).
Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee's last theatrical release Raktabeej, starring Victor Banerjee, Abir Chatterjee, and Mimi Chakraborty in lead roles, was released on 19th October 2023 which received a positive response from both audiences and critics. Interestingly, the film brought Victor Banerjee back to the silver screen after a hiatus. And now, Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee's upcoming film Aamar Boss marks Rakhee Gulzar's comeback to the Bengali entertainment industry after two decades.
