Here is a piece of good news for all the fans of actress Shruti Das who has been a part of the Bengali television industry for a long time. The popular TV star Shruti Das, known for Ranga Bou, Desher Maati, and Trinayani is going to make her big-screen debut with Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee's upcoming film where she will be sharing the screen with Veteran actress Rakhee Gulzar.
Actress Shruti Das has been roped in by the director duo Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee to play a pivotal role in their upcoming film 'Amar Boss', starring Rakhee Gulzar in the lead role. The veteran actress was spotted at an airport in the city yesterday as the makers are all set to start shooting for the film.
Apart from Rakhee Gulzar and Shruti Das, the film also stars Srabanti Chatterjee in a key role. Another interesting thing about the film is director Shiboprosad Mukherjee will be seen playing an important role in this film.
''My appearance does not match the beauty concept of Bengali cinema heroines. So, when I was offered to act in this movie, I got emotional'' said the TV actress.
Without revealing much about her character in the film, Shruti Das said that she will share multiple frames with 'Rakhee Gulzar and Shiboprosad Mukherjee in the film.'
Shruti Das was last seen playing the female lead opposite Gourab Roy Choudhary in Zee Bangla's show Ranga Bou. She became a household name for playing the female lead opposite Gourab Roy Choudhary in Trinayani. Later, she bagged the female lead opposite Dibyojyoti Dutta in Leena Gangopadhyay's show Desher Maati. And now she will be seen in Nandita Roy and Shiboprosad Mukherjee's upcoming film 'Amar Boss'.
