Sean Banerjee to play the lead in Leena Gangopadhyay's upcoming TV serial

Popular TV actor Sean Banerjee, last seen in KLiKK original series Pilkunj, has reportedly bagged a new role in a brand-new show. The Mon Phagun actor will soon be seen in a new daily soap, written by Leena Gangopadhyay.

According to recent reports, Sean Banerjee has been roped in by Leena Gangopadhyay to play the male lead in her new TV serial, which will air on a leading general entertainment channel. If sources are to be believed, this new show will be a romantic drama that is likely to be telecast on Star Jalsha.

Talking about his new show, Sean Banerjee said ''I have been approached by the makers for a new TV serial. However, the agreement has not been signed yet. I wanted to work with Leena (Gangopadhyay) Di for a long time, finally when the opportunity came... I am very happy. Most importantly, I have never been seen like this on television. Audiences have always seen me as an angry young man, be it Ujan or Rishi Sen! And now I am going to break that barrier''.

However, which actress from the industry will be seen opposite Sean in this new serial has not been finalized yet. Well, there are rumors in the industry that actress Sonamoni Saha might be seen playing the female lead opposite Sean Banerjee in the show.

Sean Banerjee's last TV series was Mon Phagun where he played Rishiraj Sen opposite Srijla Guha. Both the show and the on-screen chemistry between Sean and Srijla were highly appreciated by viewers. The show concluded its journey on TV on 21st August 2022. After almost two years, Sean Banerjee is set to come back on TV with a new TV serial.
