Mahisasurmardini film base on women empowerment as its title. The movie shows how women fight against all adversities like Maa Durga. It's the story of a night during Durga Puja. It has shown that women are not the only victims of domestic violence, There are many more problems and they are constantly fighting against them. Rituparna Sengupta will be seen as a Pilot. She speaks less and she has a strong personality in the film.

Apart from Ritupara actor Saswata Chatterjee and Parambrata Chattopadhyay will be seen in this film. Saswata Chatterjee will be seen as a politician and Parambrata Chattopadhyay playing the role of an election strategist.
