Mythological show Joy Jagannath to end its journey on TV

Over the past few days, several television serials have ended their journey ahead of expectations. Bengali television currently has very few original devotional serials, out of which Color Bangla has decided to discontinue one of their most popular shows, Joy Jagannath. 'Joy Jagannath' produced under the banner of Surinder Films failed to make a mark in the TRP chart from the beginning.

Actor Bipul Patra who has been a part of several web series played the titular role and portrayed Lord Krishna in the show. The show featured many well-known stars from the industry like  Shreema Bhattacherjee, Jasmine Joy, and Devlina Kumar among others. Actress Devlina Kumar made her television debut with this mythological show where she portrayed the character of Devi Padmavati. Bipul Patra Starrer show Joy Jagannath premiered on 22nd November 2021, and in just nine months the show going off-air. The series will go off-air at the end of this month.

In the past few days, we have seen many popular serials that are taking off much earlier than expected. A few days ago a newly launched show titled Bouma Ekghor concluded its journey on TV in just three months. Popular shows like Mon Phagun and Uma are also taking off.
